Watch Guide: BOA Week #1 On FloMarching

It's time for the fall marching band season LIVE on FloMarching! The 2019 Bands of America season kicks off LIVE in Kentucky, Ohio, and Texas on September 21! On the first weekend of BOA coming to FloMarching, you can catch bands from all over the Midwest and Texas presenting a majority of their shows for the first time in competition.

In Kentucky, 30-plus bands will perform in preliminary competition including a few of the most successful bands from the 2019 BOA Grand National Championships like Carmel (IN), Castle (IN), and Franklin (TN). The Louisville event is a new addition to the schedule but will feature a lineup of groups that typically compete in the Ohio, Tennessee, and Indianapolis regionals. Tune in at 7:45 AM CT to catch the first group on; finals will kick off at 8 PM CT after the dinner break.

At South Texas, La Joya (TX) will kick off prelims at 8:15 AM CT. Twenty-four more groups will follow in prelims and only the top half of the field will move onto BOA Regional finals. The show in McAllen will undoubtedly crown a new Regional champion without any of the recent winners attending like Claudia T. Johnson (TX). Finals begin at 7:45 PM CT with the first finalist group.

The Bands of America Northwest Ohio Regional will host 15 bands to Toledo and seems to have attracted some outside talent this year. Starting off with DeWitt at 11:45 AM ET, New York and Michigan will be represented by a few bands this weekend, alongside the typical Ohio and Indiana bands that usually compete in Toledo. You can tune into finals beginning at 6:45 PM ET and catch an exhibition performance from the University of Toledo marching band after the last band around 10:30 PM ET.
