Inside the Design: Movement 3
Go inside the design of the Boston Crusaders' third movement and percussion feature, "Snake." Based on Antonio Sanchez's Bad Hombres (y mujeres), "Snake" depicts the theme of corruption with a unique live-mixed dialogue between the percussion section and a baritone soloist.
I Wish- kevin schupman- flag solo
at first I really struggled to choreograph this solo because I knew I wanted it to be a part of me represented in the form of dance and choreo but not only that also by the atmosphere surrounding me I wanted to depict one emption and fill the stage and room with it so that it would transfer to the viewer. It’s took a few months and a couple variations of concept for this solo but eventually I landed on “I Wish”, a story about loving someone who won’t love you back and how with every fiber of your soul and heart you just can’t not love them but you know in the end you will never have them. It’s a deep concept that I knew would take a lot of preparation to complete but am very happy with the end product! Eli Marti - Goo Goo Muck
Hi, I’m Eli Marti from Westfield Indiana, and this is my dance solo Goo Goo Muck, to the song Goo Goo Muck by the Cramps. Movement is my weakest performance area, so I chose it in order to improve and expand my skill set. This dance was heavily inspired by the new Wednesday Addams show, and I made my costume based off of her dress from her famous dance scene. Overall, this dance was fun to do, and I feel I achieved my goal of improving my movement skills, but my favorite part has to be making the costume and designing my makeup!
