The moment that every corps has been building toward is finally here: the 2025 DCI World Championships. After a long summer season of weekly performances, it all comes down to who will be crowned the best corps in DCI.

Last year, the Bluecoats cemented themselves as a dominant force with a World Championships win in the World Class, and are in the running to do it again. However, the Boston Crusaders have made a convincing campaign with their 2025 production "BOOM."
And the Crusaders have officially taken the lead. With a score of 97.325, the Crusaders have started out the World Championships primed to take the prize, but will have to impress through Semifinals to keep the momentum going.
Prelims for the World Class begin on Thursday, Aug. 7, with semifinals and finals following on Aug. 8-9 from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Santa Clara Vanguard Take The Field
Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, California finished sixth in last season's World Championship Finals, and could very well rise to be within the top five if they continue to shine through the summer. One of the most successful corps in DCI history, the ensemble has won seven DCI World Championship titles between 1973 and 2018.

Blue Devils Take The Field
Placing third in both the DCI World Championship Semifinals and Finals in 2024, the Blue Devils out of Concord, California are primed to compete among the best once again this time around. The Blue Devils hold the record for the most Drum Corps International World Championship titles. The corps has won a total of 21 times, most recently in 2023.

Madison Scouts Take The Field
Founded in 1920, the Madison Scouts out of Madison, Wisconsin is a premier youth performing arts organization on the modern drum and bugle corps scene. They are a founding member of Drum Corps International and have been twice crowned as World Champions, with the last time being in 1988. The Scouts hope to continue expanding their program to be on the podium once again.

The Academy is based out of Tempe, Arizona, and received an 17th place finish in last season's Prelims. Seattle Cascades Take The Field
The Cascades out of Seattle, Washington, won the DCI Division III World Championship in 2000, and then doubled its size for competition the next season. Spartans Take The Field
Celebrating 70 years in 2025, Spartans from Nashua, New Hampshire has laid claim to eight DCI World Championship titles since its founding, most recently taking home Open Class gold in 2024. As part of a transition year in 2025, the corps will follow a “hybrid” classification structure remaining as an Open Class corps, but competing in eight DCI Tour events as a World Class corps.

The corps earned a second place finish in this year's Open Class World Championships Finals with a score of 80.875.

The Battalion Take The Field
The Battalion serves as Utah's one and only drum and bugle corps, hailing from Salt Lake City. In 2022, The Battalion made its debut at the DCI World Championships in Indiana, and last season, the corps earned recognition as DCI’s Most Improved Open Class Corps and advanced to the World Championship Semifinals for the first time.

Another international sensation, the Calgary Stampede Showband from Calgary, Canada takes the field. The Stampede won the Open Class Finals for the International Class earlier this week with a score of 76.800.

Les Stentors out of Sherbrooke, Quebec, set up their performance "It All Starts With a Spark."
Calgary Stetson Showband Takes The Field
The second band out of Calgary, Canada takes the field in hopes of reaching first following a runner-up finish in the Open Class Finals with a score of 66.875.
Beijing 57 High School Takes The Field
Beijing 57 High School from Beijing, China takes the field in Indianapolis as the third of five international bands setting up at the World Class Prelims.
Calgary Round-Up Band Takes The Field
All the way from Calgary, Canada, the Calgary Round-Up Band returns to Lucas Oil Stadium after scoring a 62.400 in the Open Class Finals.
High School Affiliated To BIT Takes The Field
The World Class Prelims will begin with performances by the International Class, who also performed in the Open Class Championships. The High School Affiliated to BIT scored a 60.875 in the Open Class Finals.
