    While the WBA season is about to take off, one group that you might notice is missing from Ayala's Music in Motion Tournament lineup is the award-winning Vista Murrieta Golden Alliance Marching Band and Color Guard. Like many other groups around California that don't get started on their competitive season right away, it won't be too long until you run into Vista Murrieta. Coming in second place at last year's WBA Regional Championship at Trabuco Hills High School, Vista Murrieta is nothing short of a legendary program. Semi-Finalist Band at the 2008 BOA Grand National Championships, Fan-Favorite from the 2019 BOA San Antonio Super Regional, 2nd place 5A WBA Band in 2021 and a recipient of the BOA Al Castronovo Espirt de Corps Award.

    This week we’re taking a second to shine a spotlight on the Trumbull High School Golden Eagle Marching Band, directed by Band Director Josh Murphy. Based out of Trumbull, CT, the group has repeatedly been recognized as one of the nation’s finest marching programs, having received a wide array of awards including recently receiving the Percussion Caption Award at USBands Nationals in 2021, the Best Color Guard Caption Award in 2019, and winning the Gold Medal at USBands Nationals in 2016. In addition to performing competitively throughout the Fall, they have also participated in many well-known parades across the country including the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, a variety of Disney World Parades, and even had the honor of representing Connecticut in the 54th and 56th Presidential Inaugural Parades.
