The action is complete following the semifinals of the 2025 DCI World Championships. Here's how everyone did and who's moving on to tomorrow's finals.

The stage is set for the 2025 DCI World Championship Finals, as the top 12 teams will return to Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, Aug 9 to compete for the title beginning at 5:30 p.m. ET. 

While the Boston Crusaders' show "Boom" wowed the judges on day one, but the Bluecoats came back strong on day 2 with their show "The Observer Effect." Now, it all comes down to Saturday's finals to see which corp will take the crown.

Arguably the most talented corps on the scene today, the Bluecoats of Canton, Ohio are the reigning World Champions and are already rumored to have one of the best productions they've ever put on. The Bluecoats are the ones to beat for any other corps looking to take World Championship Finals.

Santa Clara Vanguard Take The Field

Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, California finished sixth in last season's World Championship Finals, and could very well rise to be within the top five if they continue to shine through the summer. One of the most successful corps in DCI history, the ensemble has won seven DCI World Championship titles between 1973 and 2018.

Blue Devils Take The Field

Placing third in both the DCI World Championship Semifinals and Finals in 2024, the Blue Devils out of Concord, California are primed to compete among the best once again this time around. The Blue Devils hold the record for the most Drum Corps International World Championship titles. The corps has won a total of 21 times, most recently in 2023.

Carolina Crown Take The Field

Carolina Crown from Fort Mill, South Carolina kicks off the final six corps of DCI San Antonio. Carolina Crown has been a DCI finalist every year for more than two decades, earning its first World Championship title in DCI’s World Class division in 2013.

Phantom Regiment Takes The Field

The Phantom Regiment of Rockford, Illinois has been known for its powerful performances over the years. The 12-time medalist has won two DCI World Championship titles in 1996 and 2008.

Mandarins Take The Field

The Mandarins from Sacramento, California have been a consistent top-five corps in recent showings. Their 2025 program hopes to build off the momentum they have been accumulating, especially with a World Championships Finals appearance last year.

The Cavaliers from Rosemont, Illinois have been up and coming this summer. An 11th place finish in last year's World Championship Finals seems to be behind them as the Cavaliers begin a new era under a fresh design team.

The Blue Stars out of La Crosse, Wisconsin, have been eager to find themselves on the World Championship podium since they joined the World Class division back in 2006. Their sporty, spunky 2025 campaign hopes to do just that.

Troopers Take The Field

With their iconic Western theme, seeing as the Troopers are from Casper, Wyoming, and commitment to patriotic storytelling, the corps have quickly become a fan favorite. The Troopers placed 11th in last season's World Class Prelims.

Originally founded in 1963, the Colts are from Dubuque, Iowa and placed within the top 10 in the 2024 World Championship Finals and could very well have a statement season this year.

Blue Knights Take The Field

The Blue Knights of Denver, Colorado enter the 2025 season chasing a World Championships Finals appearance after being cut from the lineup in 2024. Recognized for innovation in visual design and contemporary programming, the Blue Knights have been a DCI World Championship finalist more than 20 times.

Spirit Of Atlanta Takes The Field

The Spirit of Atlanta from Atlanta, Georgia, are well known for a huge brass sound and performances that evoke the soulful and sultry persona of its southern hometown region. The group has claimed a spot in the DCI World Championship Finals 20 times since 1978.

Madison Scouts Take The Field

Founded in 1920, the Madison Scouts out of Madison, Wisconsin is a premier youth performing arts organization on the modern drum and bugle corps scene. They are a founding member of Drum Corps International and have been twice crowned as World Champions, with the last time being in 1988. The Scouts hope to continue expanding their program to be on the podium once again.

Music City out of Nashville, Tennessee is on the brink of becoming a transformative corps in DCI. Its 2025 program hopes to overcome the 17th place finish from last season's World Championship Semifinals.

The Academy Takes The Field

The Academy is based out of Tempe, Arizona, and received an 17th place finish in last season's Prelims. In the corps’ first trip to the DCI World Championships in 2006, it won the gold medal in Division II competition. 2016 marked the corps’ first year as a World Class DCI World Championship finalist.

Spartans Take The Field

Celebrating 70 years in 2025, Spartans from Nashua, New Hampshire has laid claim to eight DCI World Championship titles since its founding, most recently taking home Open Class gold in 2024. As part of a transition year in 2025, the corps will follow a “hybrid” classification structure remaining as an Open Class corps, but competing in eight DCI Tour events as a World Class corps.

Gold Takes The Field

Gold, based out of San Diego, is fully immersed in its 2025 campaign, titled "The Demon Barber of Fleet Street." Gold earned the title of Most Improved Open Class Corps in 2018 and has been a consistent medalist at the Open Class World Championships since 2022. The corps earned a second place finish in this year's Open Class World Championships Finals with a score of 80.875.

The Battalion Take The Field

The Battalion serves as Utah's one and only drum and bugle corps, hailing from Salt Lake City. In 2022, The Battalion made its debut at the DCI World Championships in Indiana, and last season, the corps earned recognition as DCI’s Most Improved Open Class Corps and advanced to the World Championship Semifinals for the first time. Now in the semifinals a second time after a prelims score of 78.500, the Battalion is looking to advance to the finals.

Genesis Takes The Field

A three-time Open Class World Championship bronze medalist, 2017 marked the corps’ first year competing in DCI’s World Class division. Genesis hails from Austin, Texas, and claimed a 21st place finish in last season's Prelims. Today, Genesis is looking to score high enough to advance through the semifinals after advancing with a prelims score of 78.075.

Seattle Cascades Take The Field

The Cascades out of Seattle, Washington, won the DCI Division III World Championship in 2000, and then doubled its size for competition the next season. In 2002, they became the first Pacific Northwest corps to become a World Class Finalist. They were the first World Class corps to take the field at Prelims and now will compete in the semifinals after scoring 77.500. 

The Stampede 2025 Program

Calgary Stampede Showband Takes The Field

An international sensation, the Calgary Stampede Showband from Calgary, Canada takes the field. The Stampede won the Open Class Finals for the International Class earlier this week with a score of 76.800. Now, the Stampede are looking to advance to the World Class finals, hoping to improve their prelims score of 76.750.

After receiving a score of 74.750, the Columbians are looking to march their way through the semifinals and into the finals. Coming from Tri-Cities, Washington, the Columbians made their first DCI World Championships appearance in 2023 and have eagerly returned this year.

River City Rhythm Takes The Field

Looking to improve on their 73.700 score from the prelims, River City Rhythm is hoping for a great performance to advance to the finals. 

Starting out as an indoor drumline in 2010, River City Rhythm has since grown into a drum corps that has made Open Class finals every year. Hailing from Anoka, Minnesota, River City Rhythm has been climbing the ranks of the Open Class.
