Perennial fan favorite, Atlanta Quest, took to social media this weekend and announced its 2026 program titled, 'IDOL.'

The program's tagline reads:
You gave me your heart… now I’m here for your soul.
What begins in wonder ends in surrender.
While the ensemble doesn't give a lot of information within this show announcement, there are a few pieces of information in the program information blurb that fans can chew on and potentially help them guess what they may be in for with this year's AQ program.
When looking at the tagline, the first line, "You gave me your heart... now I'm here for your soul" references a lyric from the global sensation movie, KPop Demon Hunters. The song, ironically, is called "Your Idol," and has quite a bit of parallel imagery to Atlanta Quest's show graphic. Could this be a hint as to the overall vibe of the show, and potentially some source music? Fans will just have to wait and see!
The second line in the tagline reads: "What begins in wonder ends in surrender" is a little less straightforward. It seems to reference ancient philosophy, likely referencing Phaedrus by Plato.
Is that particular quote further setting the scene for AQ's 2026 program, or is it a reference to something yet to be uncovered? Only time will tell.
Catch a performance of IDOL throughout the 2026 WGI season, including at the 2026 WGI Atlanta Percussion/Winds Regional+ on March 21-22 and at the 2026 WGI Percussion World Championships on April 16-18. Keep up with all things AQ on their Instagram and TikTok accounts
