The Bands of America Toledo Regional will feature some of the best bands in the Midwest on Saturday, October 1 at Toledo University.

Here is a quick-hitting glance at some of the bands that will be competing at the Toledo Regional.

Morning Block

(All times are EST)
Eastern H.S. - 9:15 AM
The Eastern band has been named a Band of America regional finalist, received multiple grand champion and overall awards, and has been named a KMEA state finalist. The band performed for the world in the 2010 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and will perform at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom on New Year's Eve this year. They recently performed at the world-famous Carnegie Hall, and the Eastern Symphonic and Jazz Band will perform at the 2017 KMEA All-State Convention in February.

Lakota West H.S. - 9:45 AM
The Lakota West marching band is a longtime Ohio Music Association state finalist. The band has recently performed in both the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Parade in California and the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in New York City. The concert band has also performed three times at the prestigious Midwest Clinic in Chicago.

Goshen H.S. - 11 AM
Goshen High School has received a gold division rating at all ISSMA marching band events for the past 33 years. They have also been named an ISSMA state concert band finalist and an ISSMA state jazz ensemble finalist. In 2015, Goshen was a ISSMA Class A state marching band finalist and a 2015 Bands of America Toledo regional class champion and made the semifinals for the BOA Grand Nationals.


Afternoon Block 1

Nordonia H.S. - 12:15 PM
The Nordonia marching band has improved dramatically over the past four years, earning the highest possible superior rating in the OMEA state marching band finals three years in a row. Nordonia has also been named grand champion at OMEA Sandusky-Perkins Competition in 2014 and New Philadelphia Marching Competition in 2015. It received a superior rating at the Bands of America St. Louis Super-Regional in 2015, which marked the school's first-ever superior rating at a BOA event.

Jenison H.S. - 1 PM
The Jenison marching band has a long tradition of success. It has been a finalist at every Bands of America regional in which it has participated for over 10 years, and the band has been a Grand Nationals semifinalist and finalist. Jenison was the MCBA Flight II state champion in 2001, 2002, 2004, 2011, 2012, and 2013.

Crestwood H.S. - 1:45 PM
The Crestwood Scarlet Guard is a symbol of excellence in the Crestwood Local School District. With numerous accolades and awards over the years, the Scarlet Guard looks to continue their tradition of musical performance this year. The Scarlet Guard looks to have another amazing season of music making while putting forth great effort in their determination to be the best they can be at all times.

Afternoon Block 2

Walter E. Stebbins H.S. - 2:45 PM
The Walter E. Stebbins High School marching band has a long history of school spirit and music achievement. The band program has received numerous awards and superior ratings at the district, state, and national level. The marching band is a nine-time recipient of an overall superior rating at the Ohio Music Education Association state marching band finals.

Kettering Fairmont H.S. - 3:30 PM
The Marching Firebirds have participated in Bands of America regional events since 2000. The band has earned the top rating at the OMEA state marching band finals every year since 1998. The marching band program is part of a comprehensive music program, which includes more than 800 students in thriving band, orchestra, and choir programs.

William Mason H.S. - 4 PM
The William Mason High School marching band is a four-time Bands of America regional champion and a five-time grand national finalist. The band is a recipient of both the Sudler Flag of Honor for Concert Band and the Sudler Sheild for Marching Band. It was honored to represent Ohio in the 2016 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, California. This December the wind symphony will perform at the 2016 Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic in Chicago, Illinois.
