This year's DCI Annual Meeting is underway with about 350 attendees meeting in Indianapolis, IN with a focus on health, wellness, and safety.

The weekend's participants will get a two-for-one including a summit on health, wellness, and safety alongside the regularly scheduled DCI Annual Meeting.

As a part of the weekend, Drum Corps International has tasked Dan Potter with sharing information coming out of  summit via the brand new "DCI News Network."

Community leaders will meet to learn from subject matter experts about performers' safety and health on the rigorous summer tour, as well as discuss typical logistics and competitive aspects of the upcoming season.

Drum majors will also be participating in a leadership-focused summit to take skills back to their corps for the 2019 season and forward.

Presented by DCI Board Chair Kathy Black and CEO Dan Acheson in the above episode of DCI News Network, this weekend will include a presentation from a meteorologist on weather and humidity. They also mentioned a discussion about hiring and vetting processes for potential staff, including embracing diversity.
