Phantom Regiment broke the silence that is the Drum Corps International offseason to announce their 2019 program about Joan of Arc.
Along with a dramatic video shot in a beautiful backdrop, the corps released a short statement describing the idea behind their concept:
"The 2019 Phantom Regiment celebrates bold, empowered women and the spirit of revolution through the lens of Joan of Arc, one of the world’s most prolific independent women. Using her bravery and unwavering determination as our inspiration, we tell a story of taking up arms, fighting like hell, and understanding that sometimes, the only way to clear a path is to burn it all down."
"This is our battle call, sisters and brothers. Join the Revolution."
The announcement comes just days after DCI's CEO Dan Acheson put out a statement warning of a story of drum corps' staff misconduct with performers to be published in the coming future.
