Amp Open is proud to present our 2021 program “The World is Quieter Now…”. As our world came to a momentous pause, we harnessed the opportunity to stop and listen to the voices around us to learn, grow, adapt, and change. Our world is neither black nor white, but various shades of gray to which many different voices belong. Through the process, we find vibrant colors that unite our voices and bring us together. Ultimately, we use our newfound gifts of understanding, and are bestowed with the duty to use our own voices to move forward in unity. Amp Open is comprised of 20 performers from throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania varying in age from 15 to 22. The Amp organization provides a powerful artistic voice and performance platform for at-risk youths in the city of Camden and its surrounding communities. By establishing an Arts-centric program and partnering with the city of Camden, the AMP organization works to enhance and improve the quality of life for its members while giving them a sense of pride for their achievements.
