My show is performed to the song, “Misty” by Lesley Gore. It’s a very beautiful piece that is already so amazing on its own! Still, I wanted to put out my personal interpretation of her music through rewriting the song as my own Color Guard piece, “Too Much In Love”. This song strikes me as someone who is just overwhelmingly in love with someone else. It’s a kind of love that burns within. I can’t help but relate the song to my passion towards this activity. As romantic as “Misty” is, my piece “Too Much In Love” is more of a story of passion. Color guard has done a lot for me. I am too much in love with it.
