The Academy Announces their 2022 Production, "A World of My Creation"

We can't get enough of these show announcements! The Academy recently announced their 2022 production titled, "A World of My Creation", revealing their show graphic.

While we're in the midst of preparation for this year's 50th Anniversary Season, corps are busy announcing their respective productions and getting ready to hit the road. Next up to announce their production? The Academy. The Arizona-based corps revealed their show graphic featuring, who we can only assume, Mr. Willy Wonka himself.

We don't know the music selections quite yet, but we can be certain that there is a very strong possibility of hearing "Pure Imagination" as the title is a part of the original song's lyrics. You also can't help but think of other ways the show will incorporate songs or themes from 'Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.'

After looking over the show graphic, it's a toss-up what the overall 'theme' will be, considering the background features what appear to be skylights, amongst the silhouettes of buildings - very reminiscent of Pacific Crest's 2018 show 'Here's To The Ones Who Dream.' Could we potentially see some Hollywood-esque features, amongst references to the famous owner of the chocolate factory?

While I'm sure it won't be the same show, one can only wonder what the world of their creation will look like!
