Last month, Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps revealed their 2022 production titled, 'Voracious'

The teaser video released across the Troopers social media accounts promises a high-energy show featuring the following musical selections:

  • 'When Johnny Comes Marching Home' by Louis Lambert
  • 'Without Warning' by Stephen Melillo
  • 'Ecstasy of Gold' by Ennio Morricone
  • 'Nothing Else Matters' by James Hetfield and Lars Ulrich
  • 'Dance of the Earth' by Igor Stravinsky
  • Original music by Tim Snyder and Paul Rennick

While the teaser video and online commentary don't reveal any definite information regarding a show theme, the imagery shown in the teaser is made up almost entirely of oil drilling rigs and has a similar vibe from the 2007 Paul Thomas Anderson film, 'There Will Be Blood.' In true Troop fashion, it seems like the corps is sticking to their guns and going with a Western-themed show that is sure to excite the crowds across the US.

Following the reveal on Facebook specifically, fans and marching members alike showed their excitement for the promise of what 'Voracious' is going to bring to the field:

You can catch a performance of 'Voracious' this summer in early-season competition at Seattle Summer Music Games and at DCI Austin, in addition to NightBEAT on July 31st, DCI Eastern Classic on August 6th, and at DCI World Championships starting on August 11th.
