Santa Clara Vanguard looks to follow up their 2018 World Championship with a show that goes against the grain—"Vox Eversio." Translated most literally to "the voice of the revolution" from Latin, "Vox Eversio" will undoubtedly be one of the most talked about shows of the summer of 2019.

From the corps' announcement on their website, the show is described as a celebration of nonconformity. After the execution of their 2018 program, the talent that was retained and even gained at Santa Clara Vanguard will be at an all-time high.

Along with the show title, a graphic, and a brief description, the music for the "Vox Eversio" was also released. Even from a first listen to the source music it is apparent that the SCV brass will be bringing one of the more difficult books to the field. The full list features original music from Sandi and Paul Rennick:

  • "Fraternity" by Thierry Deleruyelle
  • "Audivi Media Nocte" by Oliver Waespi
  • "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica
  • Original Music by Paul & Sandi Rennick

The final message at the bottom of the announcement from Program Coordinator Scott Koter reads "reckless abandon and willingness to follow a different path is at the core of Vox Eversio's message."

Santa Clara Vanguard will perform in their first competitive show of the season at the MidCal Champions Showcase on June 21. The next night they will be live on FloMarching at DCI West alongside the Blue Devils, The Cavaliers, the reigning Open Class champion Vanguard Cadets and runner-up Blue Devils B.
