HBO is giving female snare drummers a chance to test their acting chops by auditioning for a role in a new drama series. Filmmakers for the series "Sharp Objects" are holding an open casting call for women who have "a lot of experience" playing the snare drum, according to an article posted on Acting-Auditions.org. Filming for the role will be taking place in Northern California the week of May 22.
The show will feature five-time Academy Award nominee Amy Adams, Academy Award nominee Patricia Clarkson, Adora Crellin, and Eliza Scanlen.
According the IMDb, the show is centered around Adams' character, who is a reporter that "confronts the psychological demons from her past when she returns to her hometown to cover a violent murder."
It is an eight-episode series set to run in 2017 on HBO.
