Tournament Of Roses Parade Selects Marching Bands To Perform
The Tournament of Roses have selected the 20 marching band that will participate in the 2018 Rose Bowl Parade.
The Pasadena Tournament of Roses has selected the 20 marching bands that will be participating in the 129th Rose Parade presented by Honda. The parade itself will take place in Pasadena, California, on New Year's Day 2018 as a part of the festivities for the Rose Bowl game.
Several of the bands participated in Bands of America contests last fall. Air Academy High School from Colorado performed at the St. Louis Super Regional. It also gave us Vaughn Lemond and one of the most enthusiastic performances by a synth player since the Boston Crusaders' Anna Eberhart.
Homestead High School performed at two BOA events including the San Jose and Long Beach Regionals. A both contests, Homestead walked away with the bronze medals.
Lindbergh High School played at the St. Louis Super Regional and traveled to the Indianapolis Super Regional.
The Ronald Reagan High School band ventured in three BOA contests this past fall. Reagan won the Conroe Regional, then went on to make finals at the BOA San Antonio Super Regional and Grand Nationals in Indianapolis.
Westlake High School from Saratoga Springs, Utah, performed at the St. George Regional as well as Grand Nationals in Indianapolis.
