The highly anticipated DCI Tour 2024 season is getting underway with one of the biggest events of the summer happening in Texas.
The DCI Southwestern Championship is happening on July 20 at the Alamodome in San Antonio.

So first, there are 45 drum corps that participate in the annual tour and have up to 154 members in each corps. Another unique thing about the DCI organization is they have an age requirement rule for all of the members.

What Are The DCI Age Requirements?
The age limit for the DCI World and Open classes is 21 years old. The typical age range for most World and Open class ensembles ranges from around 16 to 21, but this number will vary on a corps-by-corps basis.
The only way you can march past the age of 21 is if you qualify for a "bonus year." This means that any member who turns 22 years of age on or after June 1 is eligible to march during that year.
