The 2024 WGI Guard World Championships began on April 11 in the Southwest Ohio area as thousands of performers and hundreds of groups flocked to the Dayton area for the first of two WGI World Championships this month.

Competition began Thursday morning at a handful of venues, including UD Arena in Dayton. Day 2 began the semifinals for World and Open class groups while A Class wraps up their season ending the day with finals. 

The last day in Dayton will feature the crowing of the rest of the WGI Guard champions.

One of the biggest events on the WGI schedule and the culmination of season that began on Feb. 9, the World Championships start with some of the most talented guard teams in the country performing.
