Leander’s Hotel Gets Raided By SWAT And They Still Win A-Class

Leander’s Hotel Gets Raided By SWAT

What did the Leander guard do when a SWAT team raided its hotel Saturday, leaving the group without access to its uniforms before the Southwest Power Regional semifinals? Head to Walmart, of course.

Following its prelims performance at Flower Mound High School in Flower Mound, Texas, Leander went back to its hotel to change for a short rehearsal. However, while the ensemble was at rehearsal, the local sheriff's department and SWAT team conducted a raid on its hotel.

Once the building was put on lockdown, the performers had to to go to a Walmart to get black shirts and bottoms so they could perform in semifinals on Saturday night.

Leander went on to not only have a great semifinal performance but a wonderful finals performance as well the following day... this time, with their uniforms. Leander won Scholastic A with a score of 88.635.
