Performing Inside a Dome

Performing inside a dome can be one of the most exhilarating things in your life and one of the most terrifying at the same time. But that is what makes the experience worth while because it there isn't many people who can say they have performed in front of thousands of people inside a dome like The Dome at America's Center. Site of the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional on October 21 and 22. 

While domes are amazing venues, they are definitely not designed for acoustics. And that adds to the already daunting task of having a clean run as an ensemble. So this will be one of the key points we will be watching for at the St. Louis regional. How to the performers handle the sights and sounds of the dome, as well as how the directors prepare the bands for dealing with this environment.
