A Message from Chris Magonigal
CEO & Founder of Genesis DBC, Inc.

Welcome to The FENIXperience powered by FloMarching.  We set out with one goal, to bring our annual in-person FENIXperience to the virtual world while trying to provide the same opportunities that our in-person camps provide.  You are entering a 1st of its kind experience and audition platform that will give you, the student, the ability to learn, interact and share audition materials with our World Class staff right from your own location and device and enjoying all of the content and exciting offerings from our partners at FloMarching.

Our staff has put together a series of videos and guides that will give you all the information and examples you will need to complete your journey. Please find your next steps below, just locate your caption and follow the process.

We are so excited to bring this opportunity to students all over the country.  We look forward to meeting and sharing the Genesis program with you.  Welcome to The FENIXperience!

VIDEO STANDARDS

  1. Our staff would like for you to submit just ONE VIDEO with all of your requirements, please follow the directions for your section below. You can record several takes or videos over time, however, when you submit we would like for you to combine all of your videos into one video submission.
  2. If recording from your phone or device, please ensure that you record in horizontal (turning the device on its side) and NOT vertical like TikTok videos.
  3. Please be mindful of your dress and appearance.  No profane logos or graphics.  Please use the guide to dress as you would when you are meeting new people.  The presentation of your video will be part of your rating so any outlandish or unacceptable behavior will result in an immediate overall rating of III.
  4. Please make sure we can see as much of yourself and your instrument as possible, using our video examples as a guide.
  5. Please be sure to title your videos properly as instructed.
  6. Please make sure to start your first recording by stating your name so that when you edit your videos together, your name is the first thing we hear.
  7. You can edit and present your videos with all the creativity and presentation that you wish.   Feel free to be creative and explore your editing options if you have them.  If you have a good mic, use it.  If you have editing skills use them.  Have fun with this process.
