WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR

Crown is coming off another strong 2017 season in which they walked away with a bronze medal. The 2013 world champions are looking to claw their way back to the top with their show entitled Beast. Looks like they are already taking things to the limit with this massive new prop.

The Cavaliers are coming off their strongest showing, 4th place, since 2011 when they finished third. On Madness And Creativity is the title of their 2018 production.

Although we don't have much information about The Cavaliers' production yet, we do have a title, a teaser video (below), and some hints at what music the corps could be pulling from this year. In the show announcement video, there is a distinct placement of the song "Bolero" by Maurice Ravel with distinct moments of interference/interruptions.

The show will include music from the following artists: George Crumb, Peter Graham, Maurice Ravel, Hans Zimmer, Wojciech Kilar, Lou Reed, James Horner, and Rufus Wainwright, along with original music by Michael Martin, Michael McIntosh, and Alan Miller.

The 2016 world champion Bluecoats have again avoided releasing much information about their 2018 show. We haven't seen the uniform yet, nor any inclination of props. However, we have seen some of the music that they will be featuring.

The Boston Crusaders made one of the most remarkable turnarounds in recent history. After narrowly making finals in 2016, the Crusaders revamped most of their staff and finished in 6th in 2017.

In 2018, it looks like Boston will be signaling to everyone that they are ready to make another jump with their production, S.O.S.

Complete with show trailer and all, Phantom Regiment has unveiled its newest production. Titled "This New World," the 2018 program may be a bit of a diversion from the usual story-driven concepts that is so iconic of the corps' identity. The corps WILL, however, be bringing back a classic Phantom Regiment tune with "New World Symphony" by Antonin Dvorak.

Speaking of new uniforms, check out the new threads that the Blue Stars will be debuting inside Ford Field. Centered around the world of woodworking and metalworks, Blue Stars will look to build upon their strong 2017 season.

It's time to get the popcorn out and get comfortable. Once the DCI 2018 tour gets started in Detroit, it will only be 51 days until a new champion will be crowned.
