RED BANK, NEW JERSEY - A former member of Fusion Drum and Bugle Corps, Andrew Hill, 23, was fatally attacked early Sunday morning in New Jersey.

Hill, a percussionist with Fusion, was also a 2nd Lieutenant with the West Side Hose Company of the Red Bank Fire Department. Hill was also known to help teach the drumline whenever he could and was quick to say hello to every member of the corps.

Holly Marino, executive director of Fusion, expressed her devastation after communicating the news to the corps and alumni by simply saying: "because we knew you."

Police responded to a stabbing call at 12:43 am where they found Hill lying on the ground. Medical personnel transported Hill to Riverview Medical Center but were not able to save him.

Demar S. Reevey, 23, was arrested shortly after and charged with first-degree murder, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
