With five Power Regionals going on this weekend, it was a whirlwind of action and artistry in gyms across the country. Hundreds of performances later, through prelims and finals (and even semifinals in Texas), groups pushed to reach the highest level of excellence seen so far this season in 2018.

Blessed Sac Powers Through
In Pennsylvania, Blessed Sacrament (MA) wowed the crowd by working perfectly in sync despite its music cutting out. The Independent World group finished the weekend by nearly reaching 93, one of the highest scores we've seen in 2018.
Blessed Sacrament broke 90 on Saturday night without the final minute or so of its soundtrack and then topped it by earning a 92.85 in the East Power Regional finals on Sunday.

Old Bridge Shoots For The Stars
In Toms River, NJ, Old Bridge (NJ) blasted past a 90 with an impressive 90.425 in finals competition at the East Percussion Power Regional. The group's show features a particularly "martian" aesthetic accompanied by aliens and a spacecraft!
The group continues its path to success as it revs up for next month's World Championships!
