From Independent A all the way to Independent World, the groups planned to be in attendance at this year's WGI East Power Regional will be bringing some excitement to the gym floor as they push to reach the top of their own respective tiers.

Including many WGI World Championship finalists, the competition will be at a higher level than we've seen this season so far and one group, Blessed Sacrament, will definitely be looking to top their 3rd place finish in 2017.

Here are some of our must-see picks for the two-day 2018 WGI East Power Regional on March 17-18.

7:40PM ET - Blessed Sacrament (Cambridge, Massachusetts)

Finishing out their season with bronze was definitely not a disappointment for the Boston guard Blessed Sacrament, who finds themselves in the highest tier of WGI color guard pageantry more often than not.

The group has been in WGI World Championships going as far back as 1980 and have perhaps one of the most impressive resumes when it comes to being a consistent, consecutive finalist in WGI's World Class.

7:50PM ET - Alter Ego (Trumbull, Connecticut)

Presenting their 2018 program, "The Golden Rule", Alter Ego is ready to continue their reign as a consistent WGI World Championship finalist as well.

Since their 2008 win in Independent Open, the group has held strong and even improved year-by-year with their highest placement in World Class being 7th last April, 2017.

8:30PM ET - AMP Winter Guard (Camden, New Jersey)

After their success last season, winning Independent Open class at Dayton, all eyes are on AMP Winter Guard to come into 2018 with the same fire and excellence we saw on the tarp in 2017.

AMP Winter Guard came out first in Independent World Class in South Brunswick on February 25, outscoring Emanon, Field of View, and Black Watch -- three groups that will be together once again along with AMP in Bethlehem, PA.

According to WGI's own Week 5 standings, the group currently sits in 10th place of the Independent World guards -- this only includes color guards that have competed so far AND are heading to World Championships.
