South Brunswick Brings East Coast Into Spotlight

Over 50 groups will make their way to South Brunswick, New Jersey, for this weekend's two-day guard regional. Featuring nearly 30 groups in Scholastic A and at least four groups in each of the Independent divisions, the WGI South Brunswick Regional is bound to hold some exciting competition and performances!

Check out our picks for some of the must-see groups performing in preliminary competition this Saturday.

3:21 PM ET | Cumberland Valley (PA)

A recent back-to-back WGI World Championship finalist in Scholastic A, Cumberland Valley High School of Mechanicsburg, PA, takes the floor at 3:21 PM ET in South Brunswick. Last year, the group brought its show "After" to the floor and moved up to 13th place overall in WGI finals competition. Follow the Cumberland Valley guard to the 2018 WGI World Championships to see if they can top last year's growth!

3:53 PM ET | Pennsauken Independent (Pennsauken, NJ)

After a sixth-place finish at the WGI World Championship finals in 2017, Pennsauken Independent Color Guard is ready to bring their show "Let Them Eat Cake" to the floor at South Brunswick High School! The group will use music designed The Cavaliers' own Michael McIntosh, the music coordinator and percussion arranger for the "Green Machine."

7:30 PM ET | AMP Winter Guard (World) - Camden, NJ

AMP Winter Guard is a definite must-watch for this weekend's South Brunswick Regional. The group made the promotion from Independent Open to Independent World after winning the 2017 WGI World Championship as well as Fan Favorite for their class — which some will say can be even more valuable than a gold medal!

The World group will perform its show "La Famiglia" at 7:30 PM, and AMP's Independent A group will take the floor at 3:45 PM with its show "Chandelier."
