Positions Still Open For WGI And DCI In 2018

Want to get involved in the marching arts this year, but you missed your chance to audition?

There are still multiple internship positions available with Winter Guard International (WGI) and Drum Corps International (DCI) — there are even plenty of spots open if you still want to perform in a drum and bugle corps this summer!

Openings Remain In DCI's Open And World Class

Drum Corps International has compiled what it's calling the "audition opportunity tracker" on Twitter, using the "Moments" feature. This audition opportunity tracker brings together a list of tweets from corps across the activity, which make calls for recruiting the spots available for the 2018 season.

Check out the tweet below to view all of the openings!

Can't Perform? Stay Involved With An Internship

WGI and DCI both offer incredible internship opportunities if you're looking for experience in the music world from an administrative, marketing, or video production perspective. Also, be sure to keep an eye out for internships within the drum and bugle corps themselves — most times, their social media accounts are operated to some extent by interns!

DCI has positions open for all aspects of the activity from education project management to video production to communications. This can really benefit those non-music majors interested in the marching arts while also allowing you to gain "real-world" experience with something that could be directly related to your degree!

WGI is specifically looking for social media experts to run its social accounts like Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and possibly Snapchat. If you're interested in attending a regional for free, roaming the event, and capturing some of the best performers in the world doing what they love, reach out to Crystal@wgi.org ASAP!
