What to Expect

It all comes down to this.

DCI Finals Week is one of the most exciting times of the year for drum corps fans around the world, and this year it's more packed than ever before! 

DCI Finals Week, encompassing August 4th through 9th, will feature three Finals events, with World Class, Open Class, and All-Age competing across the Hoosier State. 

Kicking off the jam-packed week is Open Class Championships, held at Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, IN. Prelims for Open Class Championships will begin at 5pm ET on August 4th, with Finals competition starting the next day, August 5th, also at 5pm ET.

Thursday through Saturday, all eyes will be on Lucas Oil Stadium.

DCI All-Age Championships will begin with Prelims competition on Friday, August 8th at 8am ET, with All-Age Finals happening the next morning (August 9th) at 10am ET.

DCI World Championship Prelims begins on Thursday, August 7th at 11am ET, with Semifinals beginning on August 8th at 1:30pm ET, and Finals closing out the weekend on August 9th at 5:30pm ET.

Competitive Preview

When taking a look at the World Class, this may be one of the most exciting finishes to a season that fans have seen in a number of years.

The potential for historical finishes is high, with the Boston Crusaders seeking their first-ever DCI World Championship gold medal (during its 85th anniversary season!), while the Bluecoats are simultaneously fighting for its first-ever back-to-back gold medal finish following their golden season with 2024's "Change Is Everything." Fans can expect to be on the edge of their seats all weekend to see who comes out on top.

Santa Clara Vanguard is on the hunt for some hardware, hoping to break back into medal contention for the first time since 2019 (Vox Eversio), with the corps fighting for its highest score since 2022's "Finding Nirvana (95.000)."

The race to Bronze is going to be exciting, with SCV, Blue Devils, and Phantom Regiment all battling for as many tenths as possible, hoping to squeak out enough perfection to cap the season off on a high note.

Open Class Finals will be extra intriguing, seeing as the current front-runners, Spartans and Gold, have yet to go head-to-head. 

To add to the atmosphere of Open Class Prelims, there will also be a handful of exhibition performances from across the world, officially putting the "I" in "DCI." Fans can expect special performances from the following ensembles:

• Calgary Round-Up Band - Calgary, Canada
• Calgary Stampede Showband - Calgary, Canada
• Calgary Stetson Show Band - Calgary, Canada
• High School 57 - Beijing, China
• High School Affiliated to BIT - Beijing, China

Additionally, Eclipse will also be performing in exhibition, kicking off Prelims with a bang.

In the All-Age class, the Reading Buccaneers are sitting atop the table, hoping to continue their unprecedented win streak by achieving gold for the fourth consecutive season on top of their wins in 2017, 2018, and 2019 (the corps was inactive in 2021 following the cancelled 2020 season). 

With fourteen All-Age corps making their way to Lucas Oil Stadium to compete this season, some of whom are new to the All-Age scene, there is bound to be some surprises, so be sure to tune in to both Prelims and Finals to see what happens!
