Results
In another wild show on the West Coast we saw our first major shake-up of the 2018 season. The Santa Clara Vanguard ended Blue Devils win streak and claimed the top spot in Stanford, California.
With a score of 72.700, SCV was able to jump past the Blue Devils' 72.100. Vanguard swept the GE caption by .400 and the Music captions by .250. Blue Devils had the edge in visual, but only by .050.
The Blue Knights came in third with a score of 67.050 while the Mandarins had a very impressive 64.750. Mandarins color guard even managed to slip past the Knight guard. Mandarins are setting themselves up nicely for a run at finals come August.
The Academy and Troopers rounded out the World Class competition with 63.200 and 60.100 respectively.
OPEN CLASS
In Open Class competition, the Blue Devils B won with a 56.100. The defending Open Class champions, Vanguard Cadets finished with a 54.550. And, the Blue Devils C came in 3rd with a 37.750.
