2017 DCI Minnesota, presented by USMC Drum & Bugle Corps
It what many would be called an unbelievable upset the Santa Clara Vanguard have ended the Bluecoats undefeated 2017 run and a win streak that dates back to Dallas on July 25, 2016. With a score of 80.200, SCV edged out the Bluecoats who scored an 80.100. Bluecoats maintained their edge in the GE scores by .100 over Santa Clara, however, Music and Visual is where the Vanguard made their move.

Phantom Regiment scored a 74.900 and finished third. They were followed by Blue Stars (73.375), Crossmen (72.850), and Madison Scouts (70.775). The Academy scored a 68.750 to narrowly edge out Troopers who got a 67.400. Genesis and Pioneer finished up World Class with a 60.225 and a 52.225 respectively.

Legends were tops in Open Class with a 57.675. River City Rhythm (51.925), Colt Cadets (47.575), and Shadow (45.900) rounded out the rest of Open.

The DCI Minnesota show will prove to be one of the major trend setters for the 2017 DCI Season. Set in TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, MN, the lineup of corps is one of the biggest of the season and is sure to establish who to look out for later at World Championships. With 16 corps scheduled to perform it will prove to be a barn burner and a great night of drum corps.
