Perhaps one of the most thankless jobs in the activity of drum and bugle corps is that of a corps photographer/social media team/administrative support - and yes, they often fill all three roles at once. This season in particular, many of the corps' photographers came together and created an Instagram account titled "DCICamFam" to give them an outlet to tell their stories, and share their thoughts during the 2017 summer tour.
For many corps, their easiest way to connect with their fans as they criss-cross the country is by using social media channels like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat. More often than not, the people behind the screens, running the "face" of your favorite drum corps will spend their entire summer juggling many tasks.
Huge thanks to Zach Ashcraft for capturing this gallery of the people and smiles behind the lenses, working hard to make sure the performers on the field always look incredible.
As easy as it may be to screenshot their photos posted to the corps' Facebook pages and Twitter accounts, please remember to give them credit. Their work is art, and they sure love creating it.
