After more than a year of planning and a seven-hour flight, The Company has officially arrived in the United States and performed in their first show of the season!

On Tuesday, the corps from Derbyshire, England, made the long flight from Heathrow Airport in London to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport and immediately hit the road for a trip to Wal-Mart and their housing site, where many volunteers greeted them with sleeping supplies and food.

Check out travel photos below from The Company's Facebook page. It looks like the entire corps received an air mattress, pillow, and sleeping bag upon arrival -- some seriously well-deserved niceties in the drum corps world.



Competing in Drum Corps International's International Class, the corps had its first performance on Wednesday night in Clifton, NJ. The Company earned a 65.45, giving them an incredible start to their short tour across the Midwest, which wraps up next week in Indianapolis. You can catch The Company kicking off the first night of the DCI Eastern Classic in Allentown, PA, on Friday, August 4, streaming ONLY on FloMarching! The corps takes the field at 6:40 PM EDT directly following the national anthem -- do NOT miss out!
