The wait is over for one of Drum Corps International most popular ensembles. Carolina Crown have released details of their 2017 production. Entitled It is... the show looks like it will be a wild adventure of musical styles and visual interpretations. 

According to an article released on the Carolina Crown website, It is... will use different forms of artistic styles to break down the traditional drum corps show.

Deconstructivism

Deconstructivism is an architectural style that began in the 1980's characterized by removing traditional forms of geometry and symmetry. 

In their own words It is...an artistic study in Deconstructivism--a dissection of something to its core components; reshaping, relocating, and rearranging those elements; and presenting them in a new way.

Much like deconstructivism would remove the traditional elements of architecture design, Crown will be deconstructing the traditional form of show design.
