LIVE BLOG

(All times are CST)

10:00pm - HERE WE GO!

10:02pm - Funny start with the bit on the bus. That's pretty legit of what bus life is like. Always interrupted and always drumming.

10:05pm - I've seen several people get hit by colorguard equipment. And I've been hit myself by a rifle toss. Always a dangerous element of the marching arts. But you would be amazed how many times it happens during a performances but they push through the show bloodied and battered. #itsjustanose

10:09pm - Props....ugh.

10:10pm - Congrats Aaron and Mandi! Yeah man. Well done. Another amazing memory product of the LOT.

10:12pm - Props and tunnels. Square pegs and round holes. Such an important part of the show design process is having props that are easily adaptable.

10:16pm - Concussions are a REAL THING (Ask football). Sucks to miss a performance but that's the right call.

10:18pm - Parents, I know its a special time to see you're kids preparing for a show. But I always appreciated my folks leaving me be before the show so I could focus entirely on the show. We'll catch up after but during the warm-up lot, I was in a very sacred zone with my other corps members.

10:22pm - First shows are always such a release of energy. Getting all of those rehearsals from "everydays" out through the show. It's exhausting and refreshing at the same time.

10:28pm - I liked this episode much more than episode 2. Thought it showed much more of the emotions and trials you experience on a daily basis when you're marching. Props to every colorguard member out there because I'm certain every one of you can relate to catching a piece of equipment in face, head, arm, or finger at some point.

10:31pm - That's it for tonight's blog! Next up...Bands of America regionals in San Jose, California and the St. Louis Super Regional on Oct. 21-22.
