BOA St. Louis Super Regional - Day 1 Preview
The Bands of America Super Regionals have ARRIVED! ​On Friday, October 21, bands from across the nation will converge at the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional, presented by Yamaha, inside The Dome at America's Center for the first of four super regional events. With more bands, more performances, and more finalists to pack in the 70,000-seat capacity stadium, the competition will be spread out over two days of preliminary performances. Here is a glance at some of the bands to watch on the first day of preliminary competition.

Morning Block

(All times are CST)
David H. Hickman H.S. - 10:30 AM
The David H. Hickman High School marching band is a consistent finalist in marching festivals across Missouri. It has performed for the King Kamehameha Festival Parade in Honolulu, Hawaii, four times. This November, the band will be featured in the Future World Parade and Concert in EPCOT at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

Fort Zumwalt North H.S. - 12:45 PM
The Panther Pride Band is a two-time Bands of America Regional finalist. The band has also placed third in class AA at BOA Regionals and the St. Louis Super Regional. The past two years, the band has been named the Greater St. Louis Marching Festival grand champion. In addition, the Fort Zumwalt North jazz band has appeared at The Midwest Clinic on three occasions and at the Jazz Education Network national conference twice.


Afternoon Block

O'Fallon Township H.S. - 4:30 PM
The Marching Panthers will be the featured high school band for the 2016 Capital One Orange Bowl. In the spring of 2016, the wind ensemble was a featured band at the MFA National Concert Band Festival. In 2015, the band was the Bands of America Clarksviile Regional champion. Also in 2015, the Marching Panthers performed in the Tournament or Roses Parade.

Union H.S. - 4:45 PM
The Union High School Renegade Regiment is a past Bands of America Super Regional champion and is a 10-time BOA Grand National Championship finalist. The Union High School concert bands hold Oklahoma Schools Sweepstakes, and its indoor drumline is a 2016 WGI World Championship class finalist. The Renegade Regiment has appeared in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.


Evening Block

Kickapoo H.S. - 6:00 PM
The Kickapoo Golden Arrow Band is a seven-time finalist at the Bands of America St. Louis Super Regional. The drumline has been a WGI Percussion World Championship finalist in 2010 and 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016. The color guard was a WGI Scholastic A finalist in 2016.

Air Academy H.S. - 78:30 PM
Air Academy High School is a public school that resides on the grounds of the United States Air Force Academy. The Air Academy marching band is an 11-time Colorado state champion and a four-time Bands of America Regional class champion.
