First Year Focus: Columbians' Ryan Knight
First Year Focus: Columbians' Ryan Knight
From being in high school, to becoming a member of the Columbians Drum & Bugle Corps. Learn how and why Ryan joined DCI's 50th Anniversary Season.
Everybody has a reason they join drum corps. Whether it's because of a relative/sibling, coach, director...the list goes on and on! Behind every member is a story.
Meet Ryan, First Year Member with the Columbians Drum & Bugle Corps
Fresh off the field from their 2022 appearance at the SoCal Classic in Bellflower, California, we took a minute to meet with Ryan and get to know how he came to become a member of the Columbians.
As you can see, it's a wide world of reasons of why someone would become involved in our wide community. For Ryan, it was his brother that introduced him to, you guessed it: SCV's 2018 show, "Babylon". Being part of the experience is an excitement, all on its own. Being able to make new friends and travel to amazing places, is the best thing about the entire DCI ride. It's incredible to see just how much your world can change, especially being on tour.
While being on the road a ton this season, the Columbians have been INCREDIBLE, breaking their corps' all-time highest score just in the last two competitions.
